The first half of this issue is a very funny parody of Hearst's "Cosmopolitan" magazine. In those days "Cosmopolitan" was a general interest mag running fiction, current events, and pieces by noted humorists. "Judge" has nailed it perfectly, right down to the illustration style and typography. You have to know the original magazine to get most of the jokes, of course. You can still get a sense of Cosmo's mildly snooty upper crust pretensions. Some bits are funny standing by themselves, like the takeoffs on the private-school ads that many magazines ran back in the day.

Darwination, thanks for the Judge magazines. Wonderful stuff!

I've strained my eyes searching for a Carl Barks cartoon in all of these Judge Magazine issues, but found nary a one! I know he sold quite a few one panel cartoon gags to them during the 1920s. But no luck, so far.

If you look through the magazines, you'll find Dr. Seuss drawings. There is one on page 21.
