Time passes. Steve brings Loren to a hospital in Cuba, where Robby is recovering: he says he crashed due to engine trouble, not a death wish, and he’s now engaged to his nurse Linda. This means Steve and Loren can get married with a clean conscience. |

They both agree to “keep this thing light and friendly.” Nelly falls in love with him for real, but keeps her end of the bargain and returns to her job in Vermont when the cruise ends. Morgan tracks her down and gives her an engagement ring. |
